Compared to a single hydrophone, modern hydrophone arrays have higher spatial resolution, greater signal space gain, and more flexible beam control. Therefore, the implementation of modern sonar systems usually relies on array signal processing. This chapter first explains the signal model of passive sonar hydrophone arrays, then introduces a universal target tracking framework. Based on this, the concept and structure of the pre-detection tracking algorithm are presented, and finally, the theory of particle filtering is introduced.

摘要

Compared to a single hydrophone, modern hydrophone arrays have higher spatial resolution, greater signal space gain, and more flexible beam control. Therefore, the implementation of modern sonar systems usually relies on array signal processing. This chapter first explains the signal model of passive sonar hydrophone arrays, then introduces a universal target tracking framework. Based on this, the concept and structure of the pre-detection tracking algorithm are presented, and finally, the theory of particle filtering is introduced.
