This chapter provides a comprehensive review of the current literature on glans penis augmentation (GPA) using hyaluronic acid (HA) gel. Since its pioneering introduction in 2003, GPA has evolved into a minimally invasive intervention with dual cosmetic and functional benefits, particularly for men with lifelong premature ejaculation (PE) associated with penile hypersensitivity. The author’s foundational studies demonstrated the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of GPA, catalyzing further clinical research globally. Subsequent studies, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses have refined the understanding of GPA’s outcomes, techniques, and complications. This growing evidence culminated in GPA’s recognition during the 2024 International Consultation on Sexual Medicine (ICSM) guideline discussions. This chapter synthesizes two decades of research, highlighting GPA’s emerging role in sexual medicine and its potential for wider adoption in clinical practice.

摘要
