摘要
In the previous chapters, we pointed the two sides of prospects of formation of Common Market under the auspices of the OIC. We argued the case that, although having a dismal past in its formation, this state was without a measured reversal, if proper corrections were undertaken by the OIC-membership at large. One of the causes for the frail future of the Common Market is that of bondage legacy to her colonial past and the obstruction raised presently by the tremendous technological advancement of the industrialized world. Muslim countries are subjugated to importing much of the industrial and capital goods from the industrialized world, while weak terms-of-tradeTerms-of-trade of primary tradables of the Muslim countries was at their disadvantage. The unequal relationship in trade and developmentTrade and development is pointed out to persist in the near future.
