The STEAM approach to education is vital for cultivating individuals with adaptive mindsets and ethical awareness to thrive in the AI era. The “AI in STEAM Education” course module equips postgraduate education majors to integrate AI into STEAM pedagogy, critically examining its pedagogical benefits, challenges, and applications. This article presents key findings from a study conducted in the module over four semesters (Spring 2022–Spring 2024). Using pre- and post-survey data, it examines how students’ initial views on AI and its educational applications evolved and how demographic factors influenced their perceptions. The findings reveal significant enthusiasm for AI’s transformative potential in education, tempered by concerns over ethical issues, the necessity of teacher training, and the preparedness of educational institutions in terms of infrastructure.
