Modeling and Simulation of Laser-Based Additive Manufacturing Process

In recent years, metal-based Laser Additive Manufacturing (LAM), particularly LPBF, has transitioned from laboratory research to industrial adoption. However, widespread application remains hindered by several persistent challenges: the need for improved process optimization and quality control, limited material options, low production rates unsuitable for mass manufacturing, high costs compared to conventional methods, and demanding post-processing requirements.
