In recent years, there have been multiple explosion incidents caused by corrosion leaks in urban gas pipelines, which have attracted widespread attention from governments at all levels and within the industry. This article systematically analyzes the history and current status of corrosion prevention and control measures for buried steel gas pipelines in Beijing from three aspects: anti-corrosion coating, cathodic protection, and stray current. It summarizes the urgent corrosion problems that need to be solved in gas corrosion protection work in Beijing and proposes targeted corrosion protection suggestions, providing reference for urban gas enterprises to carry out corrosion protection work for buried steel pipelines.
