From Threshold to Catalyst: Thailand’s Role in Regional and Global Climate Futures
摘要
The story of Thailand’s tropical thresholds is far more than a national narrative. Fundamentally, it examines how communities located on the front lines of climate change are adjusting, improvising, and changing in response to global shifts. The world's coastal regions are the most obvious—and significant—places for this conflict to occur. These transitional areas, where land and sea meet and natural processes and human activity combine, are some of the planet's most productive and most endangered ecosystems. Large populations, vital infrastructure, and regional economies are all supported by them, but they are also the first to experience the destabilizing effects of storms, increasing sea levels, saltwater intrusion, and ecosystem degradation.
