Inclusion of Traditional Forest Resource Management Practices into Modern Micro-level Institutions: Decision-Making from an Eco-Social Work Perspective
摘要
This chapter emphasises leadership and decision-making while highlighting the integration of traditional and indigenous forest management techniques and their applicability in the modern micro-institution. This chapter advances eco-social work theory by demonstrating how tribal chief-led governance embodies ecological justice and can inform hybrid institutional models. It looks at how Eco-social work, which honours and empowers indigenous knowledge and practice, might facilitate that integration by promoting inclusive decision-making processes and participatory leadership and also outlines a way ahead towards more equitable and sustainable resource management, which will eventually benefit local communities. By focusing on leadership and decision-making processes that include traditional and indigenous knowledge systems, the chapter asserts the book’s thrust on advancing social and environmental justice through inclusive and participatory approaches.
