Prediction of Ultimate Bearing Capacity of Vulcanized Tank with Incomplete Penetration Defects
摘要
Based on the field data, fracture analysis and material test results, the finite element analysis model of the accidental vulcanized tank with incomplete penetration defects was established through appropriate assumptions. Combined with NFC criterion, the plastic limit load of accidental vulcanized tank is predicted. The influence of the butt weld between the upper cylinder and the upper mouth of the vulcanized tank on the plastic limit load of the vulcanized tank with different penetration depth was analyzed. The results show that when the penetration depth of the butt weld exceeds 50% of the effective wall thickness, the bearing capacity of the weld is greater than that of the cylinder area. And the axial stress of the butt weld is greater than the circumferential stress, and the transverse cracking behavior is easy to occur.
