Direct plasma adsorption is a method for eliminating pathogenic agents or toxic substances in the blood by perfusion of the blood through the adsorbent material. Adsorption columns are customized for specific target diseases and substances to be eliminated [1]. The three types of adsorption columns are carbon adsorption, PMX-DHP, and b2 microglobulin columns (Table 9.1). Figure 9.1a is an illustration of the adsorption column circuit, and Fig. 9.1b shows the combination of a hemoperfusion adsorption column and hemodialysis circuit.

摘要

Direct plasma adsorption is a method for eliminating pathogenic agents or toxic substances in the blood by perfusion of the blood through the adsorbent material. Adsorption columns are customized for specific target diseases and substances to be eliminated [1]. The three types of adsorption columns are carbon adsorption, PMX-DHP, and b2 microglobulin columns (Table 9.1). Figure 9.1a is an illustration of the adsorption column circuit, and Fig. 9.1b shows the combination of a hemoperfusion adsorption column and hemodialysis circuit.
