Microbial Bioagents as Tools for Eliminating Toxigenic Fungi
摘要
A significant amount of information about the potential application of helpful microbes to manage plant diseases has been produced by laboratory and field trial experiments conducted in recent decades. Mycotoxigenic fungal diseases have received particular attention because of their direct negative impact on crop productivity and the possibility of mycotoxin formation, which is harmful to both human and animal health. The development and registration of new biopesticides have been encouraged by new legislative attempts to limit the use of current commercial chemical pesticides. Current methods for the preharvest control of mycotoxigenic fungi and their corresponding toxins are covered in this chapter. We will concentrate on the various ways in which the most commonly researched biological control agents work. Additionally, a thorough analysis of their capacity to inhibit the production of mycotoxins will be included.
