Exploration and Practice of a Growth Education Evaluation Visualization Model
摘要
In response to the trend of integrating information technology with education, this study addresses issues such as the difficulty in capturing comprehensive process data for student assessment, the challenges in involving multiple evaluation stakeholders, and the unclear evaluation orientation. Our school has developed a Growth Education Evaluation Visualization System to shift student development from a knowledge-based focus to one centered on competencies. In this process, we actively explore the application of metaverse technology as an enabler. Built on technologies like VR, blockchain, AI, and computer vision, we enhance data collection through multiple modalities, strengthen the tracking and analysis of growth records, and reshape the spatial and temporal boundaries of growth evaluation. This further promotes the exploration of new evaluation models for growth education. The case design framework is guided by Dewey’s concept of growth, utilizing holographic data theory and AI-driven software tools to create a visual, task-based, and game-like evaluation approach focused on children’s competencies. A comprehensive visual system of elementary school students’ overall development is constructed, centered on the values of “Joy in Wisdom, Health, Elegance, Labor, and Creativity.” By leveraging information technology and big data, we aim to use technology to drive student evaluation and enhance student involvement in the evaluation process through data visualization. This approach transforms evaluation into a tool that inspires intrinsic motivation for learning and explores new paths for building a visual system of comprehensive student literacy evaluation.
