Risk, Insurance and Other Industries
摘要
This chapter examines several industries characterised by significant risk exposures, highlighting how the strategic use of insurance can provide effective risk management solutions. It explores the benefits of the fishing industry, the environmental threats associated with its operations, and the role of insurance in addressing these risks. Similarly, the chapter analyses the alcohol industry, discussing its advantages, associated hazards, and loss control measures. The hawking enterprise is also considered, along with the risks inherent in its operations. In addition, the chapter addresses the societal risks posed by drug trafficking and outlines corresponding loss control strategies. The discussion extends to the waste management sector, providing measures to mitigate the risks it presents, and concludes with an examination of the scrap industry.
