Experimental Investigation of Mixture Design and Field Application in Four-Graded Roller Compacted Concrete
摘要
By studying multiple sets of four graded roller-compacted concrete (FGR) specimens, we aim to provide technical backing for FGR’s engineering implementation. When water consumption is maintained at 70–71 kg/m3 and the vibrating compaction (VC) is within the range of 3.5–6 s, FGR achieves the optimal VC value and air content parameters. For the sand ratio, it is recommended to choose 30%–32%. Natural coarse aggregates perform best when graded 25% extra-large, 30% large, 25% medium, and 20% small, combined with a VC value of 3.5 s. Recommended rolling procedures for FGR: For 0.4 m layer thickness: 2 non-vibratory rolls → 6 vibratory rolls → 2 non-vibratory rolls; for 0.5 m layer thickness: 2 non-vibratory rolled → 8 vibratory rolled → 2 non-vibratory rolled.
