The article considers the materials of structural elements, in particular the rack under consideration, which can be characterized by its energy constant A (J/kg). The instructions on the calculation of strength by normal sections of bent and compressed elements by the method of limiting forces and by the deformation model, as well as on the calculation of strength by inclined sections are presented. A comparison of the results of the calculation of prototypes for the strength of normal cross-sections by the method of limiting forces and by the deformation model with the results of experimental investigations is presented.
