Realizing Inclusive Development in Slum Areas the City of Jakarta: Case Study of Public Participation in the Kampong Akuarium—North Jakarta, Indonesia
摘要
Inclusive urban planning in the City of Jakarta through social participation and political involvement of marginalized groups of urban residents is very important at this time so that development ideas through improving villages in dense, slum, and disaster-prone areas can be implemented. The number of urban residents is increasing, and urban settlements are becoming more densely populated. Cities in Indonesia are starting to transform into cities that are smart, innovative, and characterized by increasingly global cities of the future. However, in reality, the political involvement of marginalized groups in the development process is still very minimal. This research aims to explain that to organize sub-districts out of slums and disasters, political education prerequisites are needed so that city residents can be open and involved in the development process, as well as the role of religious institutions and non-governmental organizations, and NGO groups as actors that can increase political participation among marginalized groups. This article aims to analyze differences in post-conflict regional election results that occurred in the Special Capital Region (DKI) of Jakarta in 2017. The results of the research show that the political participation of marginalized groups in the Jakarta sub-district has increased. This research describes the political participation of marginalized groups in Kampung Akuarium Kota Jakarta using qualitative methods, and data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews.
