Smart Windshield: Real-Time Heads-Up Display for Safe Driving
摘要
The integration of smart technology in vehicles demands low-cost and accessible solutions that can improve driver safety through a reduction in distractions. This work presents a transparent HUD that gives all the critical information such as navigation and notifications directly in the line of sight of the driver. Using the cost-effective hardware of the ESP32 microcontroller, GPS modules, and a mini projector, the system offers a practical alternative to high-cost HUDs used in luxury vehicles. The design emphasizes portability and ease of installation, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of vehicle models. Furthermore, the system is engineered to function seamlessly under varying environmental conditions, addressing common challenges such as glare and visibility during both daytime and nighttime driving. There exist key issues such as mobility’s transparency, in consonance with brightness, not by the situation of lights on exposure toward making such a safety technology developed till so far quite accessible everywhere within society.
