This chapter extends the previous temporal analysis of educational transitions within the family context. The transition to high school represents a prolonged process involving significant parental investment across financial, cultural, social, and emotional domains. Drawing on prevailing parenting logics, I explore variations in parental practices during young people’s preparation for and decision-making about educational transitions.
