This chapter focuses on the diversified development trends in Bangladesh highlighting basic and contemporary development trends. Industrialization, export diversification, material progress, infrastructure development, women empowerment, and SSNPs as the basic development issues are analyzed to explore the present scenario of development in Bangladesh. The contemporary development fields such as ecotourism, renewable energy efficiency and power projects, youth entrepreneurship, inclusive and application-based education, and climate change resilience initiatives have been explained to understand updated forms of development in Bangladesh. This chapter is also enriched with the exploration of key challenges of development programs and initiatives, the prime opportunities of overcoming the challenges and the major pathways to reach the targets of development of various sectors in Bangladesh. The political reforms utilizing the role of international cooperation and the vision for an inclusive and sustainable future are analyzed for gaining sustainable development in Bangladesh.
