As the increase of switching frequency and power density, the electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression of power converters becomes more challenging. Since the traditional current sensing requires transformer structure, which will increase the size of the filter. In this paper, the Rogowski coil is used to sense and the working principle of the Rogowski coil is analyzed. Then, the propagation path of the differential mode(DM) noise in the power converter is analyzed. Finally, the effectiveness of the DM active EMI filter(AEF) based on Rogowski coil sensing is demonstrated with a signal generator and a boost converter. Combined with the passive EMI filter, the differential mode noise is reduced by 10–20 dB in the frequency range of 150 kHz-30 MHz.

摘要
