Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA) is a statutory body of Government of Ghana, established to ensure development and modernization of railway systems both national and suburban in Ghana. As part of their mission, construction of a Single Standard Gauge Railway line from Tema to Mpakadan of 97.625 km project passes through Southern Ghana from Greater Accra to Eastern regions. This paper discusses the critical issues of slope stability in deep-cut sections, with reference to the factors such as soil composition, groundwater levels, and weather conditions. Advanced geotechnical analysis and soil testing were used for risk assessment and the development of mitigation strategies, including soil reinforcement, drainage systems, and monitoring systems.

摘要
