Transition Metal-Based Photoredox Catalysts in Organic Synthesis: Recent Developments
摘要
In recent years, photocatalysis involving transition metals has emerged as a powerful tool in synthetic organic chemistry. This strategy has significantly advanced the creation of novel and efficient synthetic methodologies. This paradigm has facilitated the discovery of new organic reactions and the refinement of established transformations, expanding the scope and efficiency of chemical synthesis. These strategies utilize the capacity of transition metal complexes to transform visible light energy into chemical energy by mediating single-electron transfer (SET) with organic molecules. This process lowers the activation energy, allowing reactions to occur under relatively mild conditions. This chapter will provide the recent developments on transition metal-catalyzed organic transformation with visible light irradiation. Herein, new photocatalytic organic transformations by transition metals (group-wise) are presented.
