Crystallization Process of Multi-phase Alloys
摘要
The solid phase formed during solidification can present different morphologies and have a wide range of scales. Dendrites are the main structural form in most alloys, and many practical applications are eutectic alloys (Hanqi in Principles of Metal Solidification[M], China Machine Press, Beijing, 2007;Elliott in Eutectic solidification processing: crystalline and glassy alloys[M], Butterworths, London, 1983;). The morphological characteristics of eutectic are the simultaneous formation of two or more phases from the liquid phase. Because eutectic alloys usually have excellent casting properties comparable to pure metals and good comprehensive performance in the solid state, the composition of casting alloys is often closer to the eutectic composition.
