This chapter mainly introduces the fundamental principles of millimeter-wave (MMW) imaging. Starting from the Maxwell’s equations, we derive the relationship between the scattered field and the target scattering coefficients. We also introduce the commonly used linear approximation models for imaging, and finally present the basic concept of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) array imaging.

摘要

This chapter mainly introduces the fundamental principles of millimeter-wave (MMW) imaging. Starting from the Maxwell’s equations, we derive the relationship between the scattered field and the target scattering coefficients. We also introduce the commonly used linear approximation models for imaging, and finally present the basic concept of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) array imaging.
