The Influence of Organizational Culture on Employee Commitment in Civil Service Officials
摘要
The objective of this research is to get an understanding of the impact that organizational culture has on the level of employee commitment displayed by employees working in the Civil Service (CS) cadre. The research investigates the connections that exist between a three-component commitment model and four cultural qualities that are associated with an organization. The findings of the research reveal that mission, which is one of the cultural characteristics of the organization, has a substantial influence on the emotional, normative, and continuous commitment of the CS cadre. The only type of commitment that is highly impacted by engagement, which is another trait of organizational culture, is normative commitment. The outcomes of this study will make a contribution to the existing body of information concerning the culture of organizations and the level of commitment shown by employees with public organizations. The senior management or the departments that are accountable for responsibility might utilize this outcome to raise the level of officer commitment. If employees continue to demonstrate their commitment to the service, this will ultimately result in enhanced output, operational effectiveness, and overall efficiency, alongside decreased absenteeism and strengthened employee morale. Because the administrative cadre plays such an important role in the public policy planning and implementation, this will ultimately result in an increase in the value of the services that are delivered to the general people.
