Not only used in ancient times, bronze artifacts are also widely used in the modern. However, modern bronze artifacts are not as common as, or as fine as ancient bronze artifacts, and they cannot represent their era as those ancient ones can. Therefore, the term bronze used here refers to the bronze artifacts of the Yin and Zhou Dynasties (before the Han Dynasty). Alongside stone and iron, the ‘bronze’ in the archaeological term ‘the Bronze Age’ only refers to the weapons of the time.
