Risks of Connecting Silk Road Economic Belt with Eurasian Integration
摘要
Connecting the Silk Road Economic Belt with the Eurasian Integration strategy will materially change the balance of power on the Eurasian continent and in surrounding regions. Connecting the two initiatives can prevent the strategy from becoming what “outsiders” call a “game of a small circle.” Western countries and Russia take the Silk Road Economic Belt primarily as a route for China to export products to Europe, something that is above all beneficial for China. Yet it can also be a route to export products the other way round.
