The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as the innovative initiative that it is, the success of which will create a new atmosphere for Eurasia’s international relations. Leveraging China’s growing economic strengths, it will stabilize the continent, expand opportunities for international cooperation in industry, agriculture, and service, and may be able to set up a stable framework for the future development of inter-state relations on the principle of peaceful coexistence. As the world economic center has shifted to the Asia Pacific, BRI is able to connect regional countries through traffic-logistics systems, and offer a chance to create a common market free from the excessive taxes and technological barriers.
