Introduction of Complex Software
摘要
From the inception of computer software programs—commonly recognized as starting with the program designed by Ada Lovelace, the daughter of the renowned British poet Lord Byron, for Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine to solve Bernoulli equations—software practitioners have continuously been engaged in a challenging struggle to achieve high software reliability while managing the inherent complexity of software. The human brain is considered the most intricate structure in the universe, and software is one of its most complex creations, making complexity an intrinsic characteristic of software. Throughout the processes of software design, development, and verification, managing complexity has remained a crucial factor.
