Engines of the New Economy: Citiswich Business Park and the Urbanisation of Industry in Bundamba, Queensland
摘要
The concept of industrial development in the twenty-first century has been boldly recalculated by Citiswich Business Park. This master-planned district, which is situated in Southeast Queensland on the outskirts of Ipswich, deviates from the traditional perception of an industrial estate as a separate and peripheral land use (Citiwich n.d.). Rather, Citiswich is a prime example of a more intentional urbanism—an employment ecosystem where scale, design, infrastructure, and accessibility all work together to promote local economic development. It is a strategic intervention in Ipswich’s transformation from a post-industrial regional city (The Industrialist 2025) into a vibrant node within the state’s larger metropolitan constellation, not just a logistics hub or industrial zone.
