Australia’s Urban Pulse: Charting the Life of Cities Through Transformations, Experimentations, and Urban Transitions

Australia’s cities pulse with life. They are alive with changing seasons, lively streets, unique neighbourhoods, and well-established communities. The world may have less knowledge about the great design-based approaches in Australian cities. Beneath their well-known urban landscapes and recognizable monuments, however, is a more complex tale: a continuous one about sustainability, place-making, identity, belonging, and the potent interaction of architecture, people, and the environment.
