Medical therapies often have limited effectiveness in stable vitiligo patches. This has prompted the exploration of advanced modalities like cellular transplantation surgery. In this chapter, we discuss the current methodologies and outcomes of cellular transplantation techniques in the treatment of vitiligo. Various approaches can be taken such as noncultured epidermal cell suspension (NCES), cultured melanocyte transplantation, and hair follicle cell transplantation, among which NCES is the most widely used technique. Apart from the technical aspects of graft preparation and transplantation per se, it is crucial to emphasize the careful selection of patients and lesions, as well as proper preparation of both donor and recipient sites.
