It focuses on six core features of blockchain—transparency, security, decentralization, immutability, traceability, and smart contracts—and outlines their potential to support trust-building, streamline verification processes, and improve incentive alignment. The study positions blockchain as a trusted knowledge infrastructure that offers not only functional improvements but also a structural framework for rethinking how institutions coordinate and govern knowledge. The paper highlights blockchain’s potential to provide long-term structural solutions to persistent problems in knowledge governance, offering both theoretical foundations and practical implications for advancing digital systems in higher education.
