Latanoprost is a prostaglandin F2α analogue approved for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma. Based on the incidental discovery of latanoprost in bringing about eyelash hypertrichosis and pigmentation, its use was subsequently employed for treating relevant dermatologic disorders.
