Topical vitamin D3 analogues include calcipotriol, calcitriol, tacalcitol and maxacalcitol. These drugs have wide applications in dermatology. They are of particular value in psoriasis, morphoea, vitiligo and lamellar ichthyosis. Besides, they serve as an excellent maintenance therapy following cessation of topical steroids.
