All classes of antihypertensive drugs delineate wide applications in dermatology. Propranolol, a beta blocker, is approved by the FDA for treating infantile haemangiomas. Calcium channel blockers and ACE inhibitors have been useful in Raynaud’s phenomenon. Minoxidil, on the other hand, has proven effective in androgenic alopecia and alopecia areata. Chapter 68 will discuss these aspects of antihypertensive drugs in dermatologic practice in detail.
