Danazol
摘要
Danazol is an attenuated androgen, primarily employed in the treatment of endometriosis, benign fibrotic breast disease and premenstrual syndrome by gynaecologists. In dermatology, danazol was first used for treating hereditary angioedema, and is still used today for selected cases. Of late, its utility in acquired idiopathic generalized anhidrosis has been outlined in a case series of 5 patients, with promising results. Other dermatoses where danazol has demonstrated efficacy include livedoid vasculopathy, lipodermatosclerosis, cholinergic urticaria, autoimmune progesterone dermatitis and cholinergic pruritus.
