Subject-Originated Attributives (III): A Prosodic Perspective on De and the Formation of Fake Possessions
摘要
In the previous two chapters and the next one, fake possessives and fake nominal quantifiers are discussed. The main concerns are the following questions: a) What causes fake attributives and how are they derived? and b) what is the nature of de? As for the first question, it is proposed that fake possessive is one of the ways for objects of complex verbal constructions (i.e., V-DE construction, V-V compounds and VO complex verbs) to be realized. The formation of fake nominal quantifiers is due to demand for Case, too.
