For autonomous vehicles, like high-definition maps, vehicle networking itself is an extension of sensors and can be seen as a sensor. Compared with commonly used cameras or lidar in autonomous driving technology, V2X technology has the ability to break through visual blind spots and obtain information across obstacles, and can also share real-time driving status information with other vehicles and facilities, and generate predictive information through judgment algorithms. In addition, V2X is the only sensor technology that is not affected by weather conditions, and rain, fog, or strong light will not affect its normal operation. Therefore, V2X technology is widely used in the field of transportation, especially in the field of autonomous driving. This chapter introduces the technology of vehicle networking in autonomous driving. Section 14.1 discusses the development of intelligent connected vehicles; Sect. 14.2 introduces the social characteristics of vehicle networking and its AI elements; Sect. 14.3 analyzes various edge computing; Sect. 14.4 discusses the collaborative methods of vehicle-roadside; Sect. 14.5 introduces the technology of vehicle collaborative perception through vehicle networking; Sect. 14.6 discusses the planning and control of vehicle platooning.

摘要
