Enhancing Phishing Detection: The Impact of Visual Warning Designs and User Engagement in Email Client
摘要
Phishing attacks exploit user vulnerabilities through deceptive email tactics, posing a significant cybersecurity threat. This study evaluates the effectiveness of visual warning designs in email clients by combining eye-tracking technology with qualitative feedback to assess user engagement and behavior. Results show that context-rich warnings embedded in email content capture attention, prompt timely responses, and educate users to recognize future threats. However, challenges such as alert fatigue, limited ecological validity, and sample diversity highlight the need for further research in real-world settings. The findings also suggest that integrating AI-driven adaptive systems could enhance the personalization and efficacy of phishing warnings.
