A Post Quantum Secure Ciphertext Policy Attribute Based Encryption Leveraging Code Based Cryptography
摘要
The emergence of quantum computing compromises the fundamental security guarantees of widely used cryptographic schemes, leading to improvements in cryptography for post quantum primitives and attack resilient protocols. The fusion of attribute based access control principles with traditional public key encryption techniques led to the emergence of attribute based encryption. The wake of the quantum threat to modern cryptography led the current ABE primitives to adapt to post quantum alternatives to mitigate the detrimental impacts. Although code based cryptography is widely regarded as a promising post quantum approach, its integration into Attribute Based Encryption has yet to receive significant research attention. Our work introduces a post quantum ciphertext policy ABE framework that leverages code based cryptographic assumptions to ensure security while maintaining fine-grained access control with the strength of McEliece cryptosystem. Our scheme effectively integrates the access policy into the ciphertext while preserving the same ciphertext length and key sizes of the core McEliece derived cryptosystem.
