Comparative Analysis of Discrete Wavelet Transform-Based Watermarking Techniques
摘要
The vast growth in internet users and various social media platforms leads to the need for data security. The data security ensures the ownership of the multimedia content. Watermarking, steganography, and encryption are the key technologies to preserve multimedia content ownership. This article presents the Wavelet transform, Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), and hyperchaotic image encryption (HCEA) based watermarking scheme for the images. This investigation examines digital picture watermarking systems using DCT and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). DCT coefficients may be modified without affecting picture quality, making it a good watermarking option for JPEG. DWT’s multiresolution depiction improves localization and assault resistance. Wavelet coefficients incorporate watermarks in frequency bands or picture areas in DWT-based approaches. The HCEA provides more robustness against the different attacks on the watermarking. The effectiveness of the proposed watermarking scheme is evaluated using peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), mean square error (MSE), and structural similarity index (SSIM).
