The emergence of bio-inspired and biodegradable nano polymers has found wide applications in the fields of biomedicine that include drug delivery, regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, sustainable packaging, biosensors and in agricultural solutions with sustainable approaches as they are biodegradable by themselves. This chapter focuses on the scope of bioinspired biopolymers. It also discusses the classification, design and fabrication of bioinspired nano polymers. The greener approach of biodegradable nano polymer is studied for sustainability. Some characterisation techniques were described which help in the study of bioinspired nano polymer. Applications of bio-inspired and biodegradable polymer with challenges and future perspectives is also presented.
