From an energy perspective, human history has gone through the firewood era and the coal era and is currently experiencing the oil era. Some say that the oil industry is already a thing of the past and that mankind will soon enter the new energy era. However, the reality is that all the new energy resources being explored or tested, such as wind energy, hydropower, nuclear energy, geothermal energy, and solar energy, are far from being comparable to oil in terms of continuity, maturity, economy, portability, energy density and other comprehensive evaluation indicators. Regarding the new energy, some scholars have given the following research conclusions:
