Conjunctiva and cornea comprises of external structures of eye’s layers. Normal configuration of limbus is important for surgical incision and plays a vital role in limbal stem cells. There may be inflammation of conjunctiva by viruses, bacteria and allergic conditions. Corneal condition can be seen as keratitis or corneal ulcer which can be caused by bacteria, virus or fungus and so on. Inherited corneal dystrophies can cause progressive deterioration of vision. Corneal degeneration can be age related or acquired. Keratoconous can cause corneal paracentral thinning. Benign conjunctival lesions are seen without too much visual affection. Ocular surface squamous neoplasia is an important cancerous entity which mostly occurs in elderly population.
