Research on Combined Nuclear Power Generation Technology of Pressurized Water Reactor and High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor
摘要
High temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) is considered one of the safest types of nuclear power generation for it can rely entirely on inherent safety and design characteristics, rather than dynamic safety systems, and have efficient power generation and cogeneration applications. But its steam generators are often designed to have special coil structures with huge volumes, which is inconvenient to repair during the whole life. In order to reduce the volume of the steam generator while obtaining high parameter steam, an innovative power generation system is proposed based on the combination of pressurized water reactor (PWR) and HTGR, in which, the feed water is heated in a pressurized water reactor to form saturated steam, and then feed it into a HTGR for further heating to superheated steam and/or reheated steam, which drives a steam turbine then turns the generator to generate electricity. Such integrated innovative design allows the full exploitation of the advantages of both types of power generation systems.
