Equipment Design Management and Analysis of New Nuclear Project

This article first introduces the equipment design management of new nuclear project from two aspects, equipment design management planning and equipment design risk management. The equipment design management planning mainly includes the planning, compilation and release of the work outline, integrated three-level schedule, and interface manual. For risk management, in general, the process of risk management is divided into the following five main parts: risk control goals, risk recognition and classification, risk assessment and evaluation, risk management measure, risk reporting and monitoring. We use the method of combining brainstorming and expert judgment (Delphi method) to find out and identify design risks, make risk assessment and classification and take management measures to reduce or eliminate these risks. Then, this article analyzes the key issues in the management process including frequent design changes and mismatch of the bill of material (BOM), in which we adopt the root cause analysis method and make corresponding and effective management measures. The equipment design management effectively solves the design problem of important equipment of this project, and promotes the design work tasks to be completed timely and smoothly. It also effectively guarantees the construction drawings published on time, the equipment arrives on time, and the continuous construction. Finally, this article summarizes the experiences and provides feedback on the practice of the equipment design management of this project, and makes advice on the improvement of the equipment design management of subsequent similar projects.
