Shielding Design of Modular Gas-Cooled Reactor Zero-Power Experimental Device
摘要
The Gas-cooled Reactor Zero-power Experimental Device was developed for the fundamental research and engineering design validation of the gas-cooled reactor nuclear energy system. Based on the plant layout and radiation zones, shielding designs have been conducted, specifying requirements for shielding materials and thicknesses of walls, floors, and shielded doors around the room housing the zero-power device. For the shielding design, the need for residence in the control room after an accident, and occasional need for roof maintenance and operations by personnel under normal operating conditions is considered. Moreover, the roof should also control the impact of skyshine to ensure that the dose rate level in areas outside the building does not exceed the white zone control value.
