Large Eddy Simulation of Heat Transfer in Low-Prandtl-Number Fluid
摘要
Large eddy simulation (LES) of turbulent heat transfer in channel flow is used to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of a low-Prandtl-number fluid (Pr = 0.025). The simulation configurations are fully developed channel flow with uniform wall heating. Friction Reynolds numbers (Reτ), based on friction velocity and channel half-width, are 180 and 395. Spatiotemporal statistics of turbulent parameters, including velocity, temperature variance, and turbulent heat flux are analyzed. Additionally, key dimensionless parameters such as the turbulent Prandtl number, time constant ratio, and Nusselt number are obtained. LES results are compared with direct numerical simulation data, and visualizations of relevant parameters are presented. This study validates the computational feasibility of LES and contributes to the understanding of heat transfer characteristics in low-Prandtl-number fluids.
