While geographically diverse, these nations are often collectively characterized by shared historical backgrounds of colonization, postcolonial development trajectories, socio-economic challenges, and aspirations toward educational equity and innovation. Additionally, this chapter outlines the chapters and key findings. Overall, this chapter sets the scene with a focus on education in the Global South.
